![]() Northern Territory Medicare Local
On 1 July 2012 General Practice Network NT transitioned to the Northern Territory Medicare Local (NTML). NTML is a collaborative partnership between General Practice Network NT (GPNNT), the NT Department of Health (DoH) and the Aboriginal Medical Services Alliance NT (AMSANT). NTML will be one of 61 Medicare Locals established Australia wide under Commonwealth Government primary health care reforms.
Initially our focus will very much be on continuing to deliver information and services to our membership and stakeholders, maintaining a ‘business as usual’ approach during this exciting period of change and growth. Over time we will be announcing new activities as we work to improve outcomes in primary health care throughout the NT; we will also be creating opportunities for health professionals, patients and community members to provide feedback on how we can better work together to achieve our shared goals.
